Pucino Family Visit Thursday 6/13 and other end of year events

Hi all,

  Just a quick note regarding Thursday's special ceremony with the family of Staff Sergeant Matthew Pucino:

1. The Ceremony will be held in the middle school theater from 11:00 to approximately 12:30. Parents and family are more than welcome to attend, please check in at the main office before heading to the theater if you are planning on coming.

1. 8th Graders Dress/Clothes: For Thursday we have asked all 8th graders to dress in nice clothes for the ceremony. Boys have been asked to wear a collared shirt and nice pants. Girls have been asked to wear a nice outfit our dress as well. At the end each 8th grader will be on the stage receiving a special memorial bracelet from the mother (She has requested to be able to put it on the wrist of each student as her way of saying thank you to each 8th grader).

Below is some further information about other year end activities:

1.  June 14th (Friday) - Rena Finder (a Holocaust survivor) will join us to speak to our 8th graders.  We are so happy that Rena can join us once again to speak to all of us.  CORRECTION: PARENTS ARE INVITED TO THIS EVENT.
2. June 14th (Friday) - 40th Annual Latin Banquet. Middle School cafeteria. 2:30-4:30
3.  June 20th (Thursday) - Step -Up Day - 8th graders will be leaving WMS at 12:45and going to the WHS for a tour.  We will be back at the middle school for regular dismissal.
4. June 20th cont. (Thursday) - Kimballs!  Students must return permissions slips and payment to their homeroom teachers in order to attend this fun filled event!
5.  June 24th (Monday) - Last Day of School - 8th graders have a homeroom breakfast organized by the PTO and then have a small graduation program.  The graduation is open only to the 8th graders and their teachers.
